Membership is based on 39 weeks of gymnastics classes each year, following the Essex school term calendar.
The annual cost is spread equally over 12 monthly Direct Debit payments, including August, making it easier for families to budget.
Monthly fees include club membership, insurance and governing body affiliation. There are no additional joining or annual membership fees.
One trial session is permitted before membership is required.
Direct Debits are collected on the 1st of each month.
If you join after the monthly payment has been collected, you will be asked to pay the remaining fees for that month when you enrol.
If a payment fails, we will make further collection attempts.
Failure to keep your account up to date may result in the withdrawal of the monthly payment option.
Refunds cannot be issued once a payment has been collected.
You may cancel your membership at any time by logging into your account and submitting a cancellation request.
To avoid being charged for the following month, your cancellation request must be submitted before the end of the current month. Please note that all cancellation requests are processed manually by our team. For this reason, we recommend submitting your request at least 24 hours before the end of the month, as requests received late on the final day may not be processed in time for the next payment.
If your cancellation request is submitted too late to be processed before the next Direct Debit is collected, your membership will end at the end of the following month, and no refund will be issued for the payment already taken.
Cancellation requests received after this date will take effect from the following month.
Regular classes do not run during the school holidays. Instead, we offer a variety of optional activities at discounted member prices, including:

If we believe a child would benefit from a different session, we will discuss this with the parent or guardian before making any changes.
Children must be medically fit to take part.
Coaches must be informed of any illness or injury before the session.
Children must follow coach instructions at all times.
Bullying, unsafe behaviour or persistent disruption may result in removal from the session.

Jewellery must be removed (except newly pierced studs covered with tape where appropriate).
Children participate barefoot unless otherwise advised.
Open wounds and verrucas must be suitably covered.
Do not attend if your child has been unwell within the previous 48 hours with a contagious illness.
Please bring any required medication to each session.
Gymnasts may only use equipment under coach supervision.
Following a bone fracture, gymnasts must take a minimum 8-week break from gymnastics and provide written medical clearance before returning. A return-to-gymnastics risk assessment may also be required.
Children under 12 must be escorted into the building and collected promptly by an adult.
Children aged 12 and over may leave independently only where parental consent has been provided.
Parents should ensure emergency contact details remain current.
Photography and filming during sessions are not permitted unless authorised by the club.
Club photographs used for marketing or promotional purposes will only be taken with the appropriate parental consent.
Maldon Gymnastics Club may cancel sessions where the safety of members or staff is at risk due to severe weather, extreme temperatures, power outages, building issues, government guidance or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where sessions are cancelled for these reasons, refunds, credits and replacement sessions will not be provided. Although we may offer alternative sessions where possible, these cannot be guaranteed.
